Welcoming musicians of diverse ages and experience levels to play and learn together. Whether you attend one or all three, we'll keep our focus on those newer to playing in a group, learn principles of a jam, and build community through music at each of these standalone sessions.

Songwriters Circle
Ages 16+
Sundays, 6-7:30pm

Join our Songwriters Circle, a supportive space for sharing your work in progress and receiving constructive feedback from fellow musicians. Open to all skill levels, this 90-minute session allows songwriters to present their music and get feedback in a positive, collaborative environment. Come to learn, share, and grow your songwriting skills.
Bring your own instrument, note-taking setup and copies of your work to share.

8-week course for Ages 55+

Veteran instructor Susan Jones has been leading multigenerational music for more than 20 years and has created an 8-week course in ukulele designed for adults 55+ to build community through music. All levels of experience and skill are welcome, even absolute beginners! A respected musician, Susan is known for her adaptive teaching style and ability to respond to diverse needs in a single room.
Uke55 meets at Teton Music School in the Center for the Arts.

Jam55+
Weekly Jam for Ages 55+
Thursdays, 10:45am-12:15pm
For adults age 55+ who have graduated Uke55 or have beginning/intermediate skill on an instrument, Jam55 meets weekly as a drop-in class, with members playing favorite tunes and performing as a group throughout the community. Not limited to just ukulele, current instrumentation also includes guitar, bass, drums, and accordion.
Jam55 meets at Teton Music School in the Center for the Arts.
Suggested fee: $15/class

Uke55 was developed In partnership with Senior Center of Jackson Hole and supported in part by a grant from Wyoming Arts Council, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming Legislature. The development of Jam55 is supported by Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund.
Uke55+
8-week Course
Music is for everybody!
This course will introduce the basics of the ukulele and how to play it. Students will learn primary chords and be able to play songs and sing along while playing. Suggest your favorite songs! You will also learn principles of a jam, how to play as a group and the history of the instrument and its popularity. Each participant will be given their own binder, and new pages and resources will be added as the course progresses. Taught by Susan Jones.

No instrument? No problem! We have ukuleles available on loan, or you can purchase a uke from our friends at Chesbro Music in Idaho Falls or Mountain Music in Afton.

A desire to make music with others!
